Vocal key doesnt match song key logic pro x
« on: April 14, 2016, 09:43:43 am »

Hi,

I've been working on a DNB track but have realised now that the vocals I put on the track aren't in key with the track. I'm using logic pro x, does anyone know how to change the pitch of the vocals to match the key of my track. The key of my track is saying c next to signature, is there a way I can find out the key of the vocals and change them to match the track ?

Will help a lot thanks,

track btw with out of key vocals...

try pitch shifting your vocal. Or use an Auto tune plugin.
I generally check the key of my vocals with something like mixed in key. It is a bit of a pain in the arse pitching vocals to an instrumental so it helps if you have a talented vocalist. But if you are using an out of key vocal then you need to pitch it and use an auto tune plug in! - but not too aggressively or your vocal will sound like t-pain lol

I always double check the track on beatport to see what key it is in. If that doesn't work there is always mixed in key or serato DJ, both will anaylze your track and give you the key. That way I always build a track in the right key  :)
