Intro sounds like video game music for the menu screen of a cool game! Also, that chord progression is identical to a track I've heard before, thats neither a good or bad thing Im just writing in a stream of consciousness.  The Piano sounds kind of weak, and then the square layer that you layer on top of the piano sounds like its from a nursery rhyme, which makes me take the track less seriously.

BUT, at :50 when it drops its quite nice. The sounds come together nicely.  The rhythm of the main lead is lacking though, and for the piano as well.  Work on finding a good rhythm because right now it sounds like you didnt put much thought into it.

Anyways keep it up, you're on the right track!

I actually take that as a huge compliment! haha.

Regarding the chord progression, the similarity is not intentional at all, since i can not remember to have heard it before. Do you by any chance have a reference for the other track so i can change it if i feel it´s too similar? i don´t want people to think i´m some cheap rip off, haha.

was actually thinking about changing the piano as a whole to a different sound, i just haven´t gotten to that yet. and i can see what you mean about it sounding like a nursery rhyme xD

not totally sure what you mean about the rythm of the lead, do you mean the LFO shape isn´t in sync with the bpm? if that´s the case i can agree to some extent.

Thanks for the good feedback! will update the link as i go:)

I second the comment above on the piano. I don't think you should change it though! I think the piano fits really well, it just needs to be a bit brighter. Maybe try adding a higher octave layer of piano? Or it could be a matter of brightening the sound itself.

Take my advice with a HUGE grain of salt also since I'm not exactly a professional producer haha, but from my experience as a listener I kind of feel like the drums are too loud but not powerful enough, if that makes sense. Feels like the drums are a lot more prominent than the lead, but the actual sound of the drums, especially the kick, is a little weak. I'd maybe experiment with bringing the lead during the drop more to the forefront but then tweaking that kick to be a harder sound that just cuts through.

All that said, I think this is a really cool song so I'm excited to hear how it turns out :)

Yea drop all your synths/effects and raise the kick and snare a little bit. (this works much easier if you use grouping)

i get a mario  deamau5 vibe.

it's not so bad, it's just kind of repetitive. I think if you make a chorus part or another version at 1.02 it should spruce things up a bit.
