Madeon - La Lune remix WIP [Something missing?]
« on: March 20, 2016, 05:43:49 pm »
This is something I've been working on.  Feel free to leave some feedback because I feel like something is missing from this track overall.  I've only spent about 8 hours on this overall and really feel like it needs something.  Because I've pretty much had no feedback from anyone, I feel like some fresh ears would help pinpoint what this track needs exactly.  Thanks for listening!

Nice dude.  Really like all the decisions. A good motif of rhythm.  Variation.  I would say you could maybe change up some details on each drop and add some difference in syncopation or have some sort of a break with some new feel to the beat.
Vocals sound pretty good, if possible try to get a little more lower mid in them but I know how remixes are!
Keep it up!

The first kick needs to cut through the mix harder. you need to work on the build more and the kick doesnt have enough space on the drop, make it punchier maybe through sidechain compression... theres a weird sound fx after the first drop, it sound like a bed squeaking maybe reduce the high frequencies (its a little annoying)  and maybe do some panning to your instruments.
