Hi,

I would appreciate any comments on this new track I'm working on. I think I'm pretty close to being done with it, apart from some polishing, so I would love to know if there's something that sounds off, or if something's missing that the track would really benefit from.

I feel like with I finally nailed the sort of style I've been after with this one. Not going to deny certain French influences!

Whoooaaa very nice  8) when that bassline comes back in around 1:45 I definitely felt an amazing build of energy. This seems very much like something mat zo would put out. Lots of respect for this one!

One piece of advice: There is definitely some pretty nasty clipping on your opening piece with the intermittent kicks. I would also think about adding some subtle effects to build into :30 seconds for the sake of making the transition a bit smoother.

Well, that is about as good as compliments get, thanks :D And I did get inspired to do that filter house buildup from Mat's Soul Food.

Damn, I was expecting this... I actually sidechained the kick to a waveshaper on the synth bus, just to give it that feeling that things are about to break :D Maybe I have to re-evaluate that decision... You're right about the buildup, I'll have to rethink it.

yoooo i like this a lot, it sound cool! i think some vocoder would be cool in the vocal chop part imo, but this is ur track to u can do as u like :-)

Thanks guys :) Yeah Daft Punk, Justice and of course Madeon are the biggest inspirations for the sound I'm after. And I'm probably going to edit the vocal solo quite heavily based on some other comments, might experiment with that vocoder idea, thanks for the suggestion!
