Yo!  This is super chill!  I listened a few times through and personally didn't notice the drums offbeat @ 2:05.  Is that sidechain u used on those trancesaws to get that effect @ 1:45+  I love that sound, but not sure exactly how to achieve it. :\  Great job on this track man!  I love chill music and I thought you did a fantastic job.

I agree with neutrin regarding the drums. I didn't notice anything about them being offbeat. They sounded just fine to me. I'm listening to the mix and to be honest nothing sounds off to me. Really good job with the balance of all the elements. At no point did I feel like any elements were fighting for space. 1:43 was my favorite part as well. Has a seven lions feel to it and to be honest he's one of my top inspirations. I'm not sure if he's one of yours but you definitely managed to capture his sound with the whole "trance-step" vibe. At 1:45 may I ask what you're doing with those saws as well? It sounds like you got the chord, chopped it into an audio, and applied fade ins to give it that "rising" effect.

I could be completely wrong though. Just mentioning this out of curiosity.

With that being said I've preferred some of your earlier tracks over this one. What you have here is good for sure but to me it's an average track. (I mean this is the most non jerkish way possible)
If someone were to ask me whether I liked it or not I would say yes but I wouldn't put it on my iPod you get me? I can't explain to you exactly why but at this point I'm assuming it has to be more of a taste thing.

Either that or my ears just aren't developed enough to be able to tell you yet. Either way good job on this track and I look forward to hearing more. :)

What I did here was drown the root note of one layer of the lead I am using in reverb and export that as audio so I had a huge tail. Then I took it, chopped it down, and drastically faded it in to create that big sweeping effect right before the pads chords came in. Glad you liked it!

Seven Lions has undoubtedly always been a huge inspiration for me. I love how diverse his sounds are and how he is able to work across different genres with ease. And I totally get what you're saying. I know this could be better. I am constantly trying to improve. I am not somebody who is gonna work on a track for a month before I release it. I try and do something once a week. So I take no offense to your previous comment. I always appreciate hearing from you Lydian. Glad you enjoyed it!
