The Sorcerer's Tower- Heavy Mix
« on: March 07, 2016, 07:09:57 am »
One of a few different mixes I wanted to do for this. Thought it was a cool concept to try out from using some granular synthesis software. Thinking of doing a future bass mix and an ambient mix to name a few. Would love some feedback for this concept for the future.

Some pretty cool ideas here. It definitely feels thin though. I would work more on layering sounds. It feels like there isn't enough happening here so the individual sounds you have going sound dry on their own. Layering sounds (even very subtly) can go a loooooong way in the sense of creating size and space.

I would also work on the drums. The kick is far too thin and I would add some more layers / stereo width to the snare. think something along the lines of seven lions.

Keep it up. You're definitely onto something!

Thanks man, I'll definitely take that onboard, will probably do a remastered version in future with some of those points added in.

Not my style but sounds repetitive. Nice work though!
