Started on a new track today. would love to get some feedback/pointers! The birds on the breakdown was just me messing around. obviously nothing is set in stone. go ahead and pick it apart. i need to learn. havent finished a track in a while. hoping to get this one done.

Nice track.

Here is some feedback:
 - The kick + bass combination needs to be stronger. It's difficult to point out what exactly is the problem, but I think you need to work on that part since it's the foundation that will carry the track.
- The breakdown is nice. Good pads and I like the birds. Perhaps they are a bit too loud and there I miss some of elements. The birds should be a secondary effect not something in the center of attention during the first part of the breakdown.
- I really like the main riff - both melody and your choice of synth. The automation is quite good as well.
- There seems to be too much compression and/or sidechaining in the "drop" (is that a thing in trance?).
- The crash is too loud + you need to remove some resonance with EQ.

Good job overall.

Thank You Martin!
I think the issue with the kick and bass was that i had it very tightly side-chained. i changed it a bit. i think it sounds way better now. I also just slightly side-chained the pads and the lead at the drop. i think it also sounds better. Birds got brought down a bit as well.

I conquer with all of these points. I was actually starting to type out some of the same stuff and then realized that most of my thoughts had already been articulated :)

Musically it is great!

You have a very solid foundation here man. I think it could use some mix work, and by the sounds of it, more headroom needs to be freed up for low frequencies because they were a bit quiet in the mix. Overall, great stuff. Keep it up
