I don't know the original song but I dig what you did with this. I think the little break down you have at 1:00 could be done a little better, maybe by playing a bit more with the listener's anticipation the section before and having the two parts have a more distinctive contrast. The section you have after the drop could also be better by developing better contrast ( Think yin yang ) by playing a bit more with dynamics/filters and anything else that you can introduce/draw back for added effect.

i dig the track, i feel like the bass could be a bit crunchier or maybe be heavier and then automate to where it smooths out to that plucky bass. leads kind of sound a little back , could be my speakers though. other than that good job :)

Yeah, the leads are on a bit too low volume.. :/
