i know your frustrations but those guys wont show you 'the real things' they do, you'll only get a snippet of what happens lol
and Markus doesnt even make his own tracks I've heard, from mat zo lol

take the most from them but you have to study basslines in general i think to understand it, there is a lot of sound design, layering behind baselines, its not just the notes

maybe try and work on something else and it'll come around

Ask Will on facebook :-)

But if there's one thing that I noticed is that it's just practise and practise. I'm not surprised if Will said he just played around with sounds.

The effects you're hearing has been sidechain compressed and with around 20% of ping pong delay/wet.

Did this in 1 minute. Let me know if this pattern work for you.

Victims:
It sounds like simple sidechain compression to me. Though, to emphasize a rising effect you can use your synth's modulation matrix to lightly link the cutoff to velocity, then change the velocity in the midi pattern to get a more pronounced rising effect.

Numb The Pain:
I believe there are two separate midbass grooves here playing different patterns on different octaves, both playing D# and dipping down to C#.

I like to add a bit of groove on my midbasses as well, so they don't sound so plain.

Why not send Will Atkinson a message on a fan page and see if he replies? Plenty of trance producers are extremely helpful dudes
