i think this is really cool, but it also does sound VERY close to that song Together you mentioned. i would either keep going with it as it is, maybe as an exercise in imitation (which can be a super helpful learning tool!), or change it up to make it more "you." both of those are good routes imo. i actually really love the idea of remixing an artist's old song in their new style, like you could to a cover of D.A.N.C.E. by justice in the style they did on their new album, or stuff like that. if you like enough acts that reinvent themselves, that could be a cool tribute project in and of itself!
