New progressive house track
« on: February 21, 2016, 07:08:10 pm »
Hey guys, working on this one would love to know what people think. Now I haven't produced this on speakers as I am away at the moment so naturally the kick will probably be too loud and kick / bass relationship may be off but any other comments would be appreciated:

Kick is slightly too loud and overpowering, careful with that.  The beginning intro pluck melody does not want me to keep listening, it could be improved upon.  I understand that it is just a little intro melody but it needs to be able to pull me in a little more.  You have a nice ear for melodies and chords.

at 2:00 when the breakdown begins, you give away too much too early and you can do a better job of building the tension there, which is really important. You have some good harmonies going on and I think you can introduce the soudns in that breakdown better.

at 4:50 that new melody that comes in is alright but I feel like you need to make some space in the frequency spectrum because at this point its just compromising the sound of your other instruments

but still, good job and keep working!
