[Q] How to make this sound
« on: February 20, 2016, 09:48:00 pm »
Hi guys!

I wonder how to make this sound. It's the sound that rises at 0:30 8 bars long, also in the build-up at 1:15.

To me it sounds like a whitenoise but I don't know the processing. It makes me think of a train which is trying to stop and the breaks are making that scratchy noise.

I'm looking forward to your solutions!

I can't hear any 8-bar long sounds starting at 0:30.. or any sound that's there both at 0:30 and 1:15

here's part of the first build up. the noise you're talking about is a reversed cymbal that's been time stretched over 8 bars.

You won't hear it instantly but it appears quickly enough. It rises over the 8 bars, both in the 2nd half of the intro and the build up.
