Fucklectro

Hey guys!

This a track that I've been working on for ages. It is now almost finished and it's only missing an intro.

I'd like to hear you opinion on the mix, arrangement and anything else you can think of. The track is cheesy but fuck it yolo.

Thanks in advance!

edit: updated the links to the latest version I think im done with this.

Drop is cool. The mix is crispy but doesn't fatigue my ears, so I like it.

At around 1:01 and repeating, there's this short chopped chord that, IMHO, doesn't fit there at all. It's just too weird for the musical context, and on the first listen it sounded like there was a literal glitch in the track.

The buildup to the drop at 3:15 could be stronger. Why no snare roll?

Haha yes thanks for the feedback :D

The "Glitch" is some random groove sample reversed :D I kinda like it tho but i might change it.

You are right I probably should work on the buildups a bit more.

Lots of cool stuff going on in this track, I like it. Those stabs at 1:45 onward are sick. There's only a couple of things I'd highlight, which is that filter LFO on that synth that starts at 2:01 sounds out of time with the track. There's something similar going on with that snare at 3:14 just before the drop. I think the snare is probably in time, but the way that synth before it is pulsing back and forth makes it sound like it isn't.

Wow immediately thought of Wolf Gang Gartner...I think he's probably one of my favorite producers to be honest, so I regard your music highly.... wish I was on this level, feeling like a scrub right now lolol... Kudos! Awesome job :)

Wow thanks haha :D Wolfgang Gartner is a huge idol of mine and a source of inspiration. Thanks :)

Yeah the lfo is "out of time" you are right about that, gonna tweak that. Thanks for pointing that out! The snare thingy and the buildup in general will need some more work too, gonna get back to it when I get back to the "studio" lmao. Thanks for the feedback seriously it helps me out a fuckton!

i dont think its cheesy at all! I love it actually. the mix is super clean, especially for having such complex chops and what not. could use a bit of low end imo though. i really like the track and idea as a whole!

You're welcome mate. Maybe you can help me out in return, I've been trying to ID this tune that sounds very Wolfgang Gartner/Deadmau5-y but I don't think it's either of them.. I've done a little remake of it, any ideas?

This is so good and I don't even listen to electro house!! Big ups!! Solid mix as well, the part starting like at 2 minutes in could be simplified to be your intro if you wanted but yeah, hella dope!

It needs a fuzzy bassline since the lead/melody is pretty weak by it self. Try using the melody notes as a bassline with a powerful funky buzzy kind of synth. Some additional percussion would do it some justice too.

Allright, I added and fixed shit based on your opinions. It should be pretty much done. "Mastering" is also pretty much done, not much to it tho.

Any last critique before I wrap this bitch up and leave it to rot?

Um.. haha  ;D

That's not my tune. It's a basic remake of one I heard a few years back that I thought you might recognise. But I'm guessing not..

This is plain awesome. This is the kind of music that I started to listen when i discovered electronic music. Keep it like this, don't make too many changes! The "drop" and breakdown work well too I like how it's not overdone by those mindless and annoying snare rolls :D
