KLANG | Falling Back | Electro Trance that you'll wanna hear ;)
« on: February 12, 2016, 06:04:37 pm »
Here it is in all it's glory. Spent about a week and a half on this one. Very pleased with the result.

As always, I would love any feedback you guys may have. Positive or negative, every piece of feedback I have received thus far from this forum has been immensely helpful.

Enjoy  ;D

Are you using serum for the bass? I like this track, but my emotions seem to cross and become confusing for me a bit. Soothing and a kickass bassline? Is like weed and crack lol.

I actually use reason so I am using all propellerhead synths for sound design. And I am gonna take that as a compliment haha. I do aim for different extremes throughout my songs. Just like a lot of stuff on Enhanced or Anjunabeats, I like my music to take listeners from one extreme to another :)

From 1:00 on this is a nice driving track, but your beats need a bit of tweaking. Your snare sounds like it's just slightly behind the beat (poss. a sample trimming issue) and it's flamming a bit with the kick. Together they give the track a feeling like it's dragging a little. I can't tell if the kick on its own is ok (only listening in headphones), but it seems kind of slow, if you know what I mean. It doesn't sound very tight and seems like it might have a relatively long pitch envelope, or at least quite a long decay. Hopefully somebody else will be able to chip in on this.

Also - don't pan any bass sounds away from centre. You've got a couple of kicks off to the sides with all that low sub content included going extreme left and right.

Wow this sounds really cool! How did you get your kick to be so predominant in the mix? I also like the way you contrast the plucky leads with the heavily reverbed piano. Drop is proper
