focal twin6be monitors, worth it?
« on: January 06, 2016, 07:03:49 am »
I've been eyeing these, read up on them, people seem to love them, but they're pricy. Has anyone mixed on them? or does anyone have any others that you'd recommend? I have a budget of like 1500-2000 but might be willing to pull the trigger and just be broke for a while.

honestly you could probably spare some room in your budget and go for some Adam A7Xs or something

My buddies have adam a7xs, and they sound great for sure, I just think they're kind of harsh in the highs, I dunno, I guess maybe their room wasn't treated very well or something but I feel like I couldn't produce on them for long periods of time. I also tried the hs8, didn't like them much either. I had dynaudio bm6as with a sub up until now. I was also looking at focal solos too, any of you heard those? or genelecs?

Oh yeah I've heard of Genelecs. Wayy out of my price range but I had the opportunity to try some at a Guitar Center and I think they sound fantastic :)
