i have a bunch of pots/pans/general metallic object hits that were kindly given to me for sampling, metal hits sound so great and i love layering them with various other percussive sounds, sampling in general is just fun af

Awesome! Also, just taking those samples, and messing with different types of processing, slowing speeding up can create interesting foley material and often times for me has inspired new ideas. I'd agree though sampling is addicting and fun:)

Freesound.org is constantly getting new user-submitted content, so it can be neat to just browse or search through it and see what comes up!

I recently used Freesound recently for a project... Some really cool sounds are hiding in there
