Made a new track...and trying to improve
« on: January 30, 2016, 12:26:38 pm »
Hey guys, since the last two tracks I made (Which is shit -... i know)...
I've gotten some critics and still constantly trying to practice and improve....

Here's a new progressive(ish) house track that I did...nothing great though:

You rly need to work on your low end in the drop,I cannot feel it at all...
I like the melody tho
ps.Try to add more layers to your sounds,or try to make it sound bigger with your fx(distortion,reverb,compression...)

concepts good, but its really hard to distinguish the drop. Wheres the kicks and the bass? If somebody skipped around this song they would think there was no drop.

Thanks for the feedback....I have to admit...layering and eq'ing its one of my worse traits...

I've seen so many tutorials where everything is so simple but yet powerful....

Because people outside of this forum said the same thing...

good concept...terrible layering/sounds/bass...

I'll try to remake this and see what I can do...

it's the low end that's the problem dude. The rest of it sounds alright (critique on consumer speakers)

Do you have a good source of bass replication?
Josh Huval: Honestly, the guys who are making good art are spending their time making it.

Hey Peteryunsie, sorry have been caught up this week... Lunar New Year coming soon....was busy with the home cleaning and stuff...
dint get a chance to log back in to the forum to check...But I have already made some changes overall...

But thanks for the offer though.... I'm gonna replace it in soundcloud soon...

Thanks dude....I've already made some changes to the bass as well as the track....I actually made the track at home with some cheap computer speakers (Which apparently sounded ok to me)...
However, I'm currently going to an edm academy...
So this week when I attended class, I showed my instructor and we both listen to it on the studio monitors...
Boy...I look at him and I knew the bass sounded like ass... Then we both made a few changes...

Since I started getting into edm production a few months ago...I told myself my first 75 - 100 tracks are going to be crap and learn from there....
I was't expecting it to be even "OK" or even alright...hahahaha...didnt expect that you guys thought it was ok.... Thanks!

I'll post up the new one soon!
