ideas? feedback? bass + acoustic drums + pads + lotsa reverb
« on: January 06, 2016, 06:01:37 am »
well, here it is!

i'm fairly happy with it, but i feel like it's incomplete somehow??
my problem is that i dont really have any idea of what this needs. maybe some glitches or something, yknow?
i thought about getting some mates to record some guitar or bass for it but im not so sure now...

so i guess i'd like some ideas, possiblyyyyyy someone to team up with to get something really nice out of this.

alsooo i'd love to know if the foley and reverb is a bit much, because i get the sneaking suspicion that my cheap headphones dont always tell the truth. thanks! :DD

man this is super interesting! very unique. i think it could be more powerful with the right chord progression in my opinion. production and instrumentation sound great. but that heavy section could be super powerful with those sounds and the right notes. also, might want to try adding a melody that's very prominent. seems lacking in the melodic area.

just my opinion. love it though! great job  :)

DUDE this is honestly so interesting. its already pretty close but i feel like some more lofi effects on the intro chords would add a lot, sort of like what Tame Impala does on a lot of their synths on Lonerism, if you know/ like them. i think continuing the song and going into a more steady beat, and bringing in a guitar (maybe an acoustic one could be cool?) could be really interesting, but the sounds you've got going on already sound v v unique. i like it a lot!!

ahhhhh i freaking LOVE tame impala, kevin is so clever with his sounds vroeuhvohe
thanks for the feedback!

is there anything you can suggest about the 'right' progression? thanks for leaving a reply! :D
