Future Bass Moving Saw Lead in Ableton

I found a pretty decent tutorial on how to make Future bass. Problem is, he is using FL Studio and I use Ableton.

He lays down some chords, fixes a Massive patch for it, then at the 5:27 point in the video, he adds a Fruity Stereo Enhancer and automates the volume, if I'm not mistaken, to give the sound that moving feeling.

Well, how could I achieve this in Ableton? What is the equivalent? If there are multiple ways to achieve it, great, let's hear some of them. I don't have any third party stereo enhancer plugins, so if there is a way to do this inside of Ableton, I'd like to know.

If not, what are some stereo enhancers I can use to achieve this effect? Thanks.

If you want to widen the stereo spread of a sound in Ableton, use the utility effect and adjust the width percentage. Or you can put the synth in an instrument rack, duplicate it, and then pan both to different sides. The movement is coming from him automating the volume, which you can do similarly by automating the gain on the utility effect, or volume envelope on the midi clip itself!

I also use FL Studio but I tend to use a tremolo within Gross Beat to achieve a future bass sound. I don't know if ableton has a similar plugin. Also you could experiment with a Fast Low Pass filter that could would do the same sort of thing?

What do you mean, a tremolo inside Gross Beat? I haven't experimented much with GB but that sounds cool

So if you go into gross beat, under the patterns section (Which is usually the default selection, but if it isn't then click the drop down arrow and under presets select patterns). In the bottom half where the sidechain is there should also be two called 'Tremolo Fast' & 'Tremolo Slow'. I can't remember off the top of my head, they may be abbreviated to something like 'Trmw Slw' I'm not sure. These put a basic tremolo on and you can then adjust the timing and the amount it takes out!

Don't fret about the Stereo Enhancer plug-in. The person in the video never even uses its Haas trick and only automates the volume to achieve that tremolo effect. This can be done in a number of ways depending on your DAW. A simple one-knob gain effect will do just fine. ;)

Yaaaa I agree with North Mark. All he is actually doing is automating the volume which could be done in so many ways.

There is an awesome easy way to automate the volume in Ableton that I found in a producer interview with Evoke. Use the Auto-Pan effect and set the phase to 0. Boom done, I have the default setting on my auto-pan set to 0 phase, full sine, about 75% on the amount and its on rate setting, at 1/6 notes. You can even use it for distortion if you put it at full square wave with some ridiculous time of 1/64 notes but low on the amount that its affecting it.
