I recently started to use down-pitched snare as a tom and it sounds pretty good. Of course with bunch of FX and editings.
How do you guys make tom?
Do you guys even make it? or just use samples?

They are tones of Tom sample nowadays you can find pretty much what you want , but the funny thing is to take a tom and really process it to get some weird sound that can be fun to use , such as heavy distortion or bitcrushing , as well with some reverb you can do some weird thing !

I've found that sometimes shitty kick samples can be greats toms. I usually don't have to do too much processing, other than EQ, on them too.
