dmgaudio limitless, really that good or just good marketing?
« on: January 26, 2016, 03:31:52 pm »
So, been going trough some forums recently and I see this pop up everywhere.

From what I hear it beats everything else.

There's a demo available, but I haven't tried it out yet.

Anyone had a chance to check it out?

Good marketing or really that good?

I need to properly check it out, but DMG Audio makes some of the best plugins I've heard.  I absolutely swear by equilibrium, and frequently pull expurgate, or compassion.  I have no doubt limitless is equally as good based on their track record.

From what I hear it beats everything else, including invisible limiter. Although, I haven't really seen any a/b.

How can you compare a multiband limiter to a single band limiter? It's like comparing apples to oranges. Two different things.

Sorry, I mean not like 1 on 1 a/b with i.e invisible limiter. More like how it sounds, if it's really that good.

I've given this a bit of testing and holy shit...it must be made of magic or something.

Whatever method they used in building this dual-stage-multiband limiter and whatever algorithms they are using for transient detection are working incredibly well.

They're one of few developers that actually live up to the hype. Their Equilibrium EQ plugin is insanely good.
Build it, and they will come.
