Good speakers to bedroom studio :P (share your opinion)
« on: January 24, 2016, 09:38:31 pm »
Hi guys

I've decided that i'm going to buy speakers to my home studio but i don't have much idea which one should I buy. I saw that you guys share a photo's from your home studio and i saw that some of you got KRK rookit's . Are they good one's? Would you recommend them to me? Share your opinion about your speakers (NOT ONLY KRK :P) and say if you would recommend them or not , and why :)

Ps.yeah price is important , but you can share your opinion even if your speakers are super hiper expensive , because your opinion might be helpful some day for someone :)
If you want to collaborate , just send me a PM :P

I use Yahama HS7s and I love them so much! I used to use the smaller 5-inch monitors, but if I had to recommend anything I'd say try and save a bit to get some of the larger monitors like the HS7s or the Rokit 8s. It makes a big difference with the low end!

I was first exposed to KRK'S when i first go into music production (through friends and what ever) and had no opinion. Now that I've learned my ears, i've found that the KRK's are kind of glorified consumer speakers. You can mix on then, but there's other things that are a little more expensive that will boost your ability to understand what's coming out of the speakers better than KRK's.

I own yamaha hs8's, and i think they're really good. These speakers will annoy the shit out of you if you don't fix something in a mix. It shows you a good deal of what's wrong and what exactly you need to fix it. They're kinda like a friend who'll point out your flaws to you, but unless you do something about it, he won't stop telling you about what you need to work on.

I'd also suggest you get some stands with what ever purchase you decide on.

HS8 would probably be better if you don't have a sub

I dunno sometimes it feels like KRK is a pair of glorified desktop speakers but they're the cheapest out there their price/quality ratio is good.

I'm pretty happy with them, but I would buy something different if I was loaded with money.

I have Dynaudio BM5a, about $1000 USD.  I love them but honestly I've never used anything else.  My only complaint is everything sounds great on them... including a bad mix.
