I had been messing around this morning and came up with this section for the intro/break/build... any thoughts on how i could make it sound more smooth?

hats are pretty ear piercing, i'd either change the hats or EQ out that problem frequency. bass in the drop sounds good but could use some upper-mids and some variation throughout the drop. i'd also add some percussion and other stuff in the drop so it has more movement.

id say add somewhat of an intro that stands out i really like the swing. for the drop try and make it more clear if u can?

dontloveme: i shall eq the hats a little more & i'll try get some upper mids in place but the synth itself sounds rather squashed and i'll get round to adding more percussion in the drop as well!

guppi: I shall mess around with the drop and try make it more clear, i think its the synth itself inside serum that makes it sound as though it is squashed

I'm digging the Jauz style drop man. I agree with the comments above. I'd add some brightness on the top of your bass sounds just to liven them up  and fit them in better.
