« on: January 22, 2016, 12:50:47 am »
Hey guys, im working on this track and i would love to have some feedback, i don't have a build up yet so that's why i just put some fade out on it, i don't know, how could i do to make it more ''punchy'' ?

Love the track and melody!! i feel like it could really use those arps that porter always uses, the little 16th note 8bit sounding ones, lol and the kick needs to come out more, this is my opinion though! I really like it though!
I got the ideas down.

the big lead takes up a lot of space on the frequency spectrum and its drowning everything else out including the kick.  It also might be too loud so lowering the volume might solve most of the problems.  but, if you cut some of the harsh sounds, and also cut in places where the kick drum hits so the kick has more room to kick, then it will sound more punchy.  Cool intro =) nice job overall keep working

The supersaw is definitely overcompressed. I literally cant hear anything but the supersaw and the plucky thing. You should take it easy on the compression/limiting too, it sounds super squashed as it is.

It sounded really clean until the supersaw dropped. I think you should lower the volume and the compression of the supersaw.

A nice touch for 1:00 or 1:16 would be a long reversed reverb.

Basically, you slap a big reverb with a long decay on your lead bus. Play a staccato note in your track's key and bounce that out. Import it and reverse it. It'll make the arrangement transitions seem more coherent and more interesting harmonically speaking.
