Collab
« on: January 21, 2016, 01:51:48 am »
I have been learning how to produce music for the last 8-10 months. I've learned how to use Logic enough that I don't feel that I have to know it better to make music. Even though, I am in that point that I'll start making a song and after having half the song done I'll be disappointed with it and start a new track. I was hoping someone else in my boat or maybe someone with more experience would be willing to work on a track together and see what we could come up with. I am not centered in one specific genre so I'm open to try different things.

Thank you!

Post your soundcloud... If you don't have any songs finished, then I highly doubt anyone will be willing to collab with you.

Yeah... people generally only collab if they know it'll be fun. Think about what you can bring to the table, that another producer wouldn't get on their own. Otherwise, one person just ends up giving the other lessons over Skype. And there's nothing wrong with that, but it's not a collab.

Yeah I understand that, I was trying to get someone that was on the same boat as me and maybe we could bounce ideas off. If not I'll keep working until I can have some songs to show.

Honestly this is the same as having a homeless person come up to you and ask for change.
On the other hand, if you have a soundcloud, it's more like pitching an idea to investors. Time is money, and you're asking people to invest their time into you and you need to make it worthwhile.
