think this one is nearly done. some highs in the mix could be made less hot. Think I will do that after leaving it rest for a while so ive fresh ears for it.

Tell me what you all think.

Hey,

The highs don't sound too prominent (not in my headphones anyway). I don't know this kind of music well enough to comment on how you could improve it, but I like it anyway.

I'm kinda w/ Bertie as far as feedback.  The highs didn't really seem to be an issue at all and I don't really know much about this style of music so I don't really have any production tips for you.  I like the muted kick drum but sometimes it gets lost in the mix (around 1:30 was when I noticed).  I'd either automate the volume of the kick so that it's louder during that part or maybe automate some sidechaining in :)

I get the vibe of this song. Nice relaxed afterparty music.

About the kick, I like it, it's not really a kick but an enhancement of the bassline and the bass isn't getting lost in this mix. Like an 808 kick can changed into a bassline.

I like the feel of the song and the hihats or high end sounds fine on my headphones.

I do listen to this style of music, sounds like some of those "chillout" compilations from about 10 years ago. I really like the subtle kick and the breath noises, and the synths are melodic without emerging as a catchy "hook" -- that's a good thing, this style doesn't have catchy hooks.

Love the break at 3:20.

The highs sound good to me, except for the scraping/cymbal noise that starts at 1:30. That one is a bit harsh and could be EQ'd better (or volume reduced) I think.

Overall the mix is very good, lots of subtle parts for my ears to pick out with headphones and lots of stereo separation. Well done!
