2ND RELEASE OF THE YEAR! Future/R&B/Electronic
« on: January 17, 2016, 05:04:17 pm »
Hey,

I got great feedback from the last track I posted which I'm going to start implementing next week! Thought I'd post the second track I plan on releasing in Q1 of 2016. Would be great to get some constructive criticism again.

Thank you for your help :)

hey man this is sweet!! although i would suggest making that chorus bit hit really hard with some chopped up supersaws or something to contrast the smooth and jazzy-ish vibe

good stuff :D

The composition is really solid. I also feel the beat is mixed quite well.

However...

The vocals are too loud compared to the beat. It really feels like it's out of place, making the mix sound a bit weird in my opinion. Also I feel the vocals are missing some clarity.

Maybe some subtle sidechain on the vocals would do some justice to the track.

Anyway, very nice composition and a nicely mixed beat. The vocals are something that bother me.

This is pretty good. The vocals need to be lowered and the drums raised a bit. I also feel you need a nice bass kick to fill up the track overall aswell as give the drums that punch I find myself desiring while listening to this track.

I appreciate your honesty dude, vocals are weak point in production. This will be the year I rectify it!  ;D.

Thanks for the pointers.

Thank you! Great shout on the bass kick I will definitely try that :). Vocals always seem to be something that come up for me  ::).

Thank you for the feedback!

this is pretty dope. you can work on the voice eq? kinda sounds like you recorded with a cheap mic. anyways, the beats dope, but the kicks can have a little bit more punch to them

really, really like this track! the whole vibe is awesome. definitely make the kicks a little punchier so it cuts through more. otherwise, awesome!

Like the beat and originality and overall arrangement. In terms of the sounds, something funky is going on with the vocals - they seem to be low-passed or something? There is too much mid or low frequency going on. Sounds like they were recorded in a phone booth and really low quality. The drums need to be snappier and have more variation. Love the other instruments and sounds and wish they were featured better/louder in some parts. More energy needed in the chorus, could use some kind of epic pad or something with more build ups etc.
