NI Komplete Kontrol keyboard with Ableton
« on: January 15, 2016, 08:37:55 am »
I'm posting this not because I think it actually exists, but more as a rant. KK has recently opened up to support 3rd party plugins, I can now control all aspects of Serum and other VST's from the Komplete Kontrol software using my KK keyboard.
What I would like to see is the same kind of integration with Ableton Live and other DAWs. For quite a while, I used an M-Audio axiom keyboard. The keyboard (and i am sure plenty of other keyboards do this) would allow users to control native Ableton plugins, such as the EQ 8 and compressors, simply by clicking on the plugin they wanted to affect and then turning the knobs on the keyboard. The flaw i always saw in this is that I could never tell what I was changing, since the keyboard did not have screens that told the users which knob they were turning. With the screens on the Komplete Kontrol keyboard, I believe this function would be much more realistic and improve the user flow dramatically. If there is a way to control Ableton native plugins the same way you can control NI native plugins from the keyboard, I would love that.
Does anyone know of a way to set the keyboard/ableton up to work in such a manner? And if not, who wants to start a petition!?

Anyway, thanks for reading guys
