Seeking specific feedback for original track
« on: January 14, 2016, 03:27:16 pm »
Hey guys,

Just wanted to get some opinions on this tune I'm working on at the moment.

1.  Is the idea any good?
2.  Does it flow smoothly?
3.  Is it overcrowded with sounds / does it sound like too many ideas in one tune.

Cheers, the tune is called Street Fighter and here's the link: https://soundcloud.com/fictionaus/streetfighter/s-An66z
(embed didn't seem to work on the private link)

1. Yes
2. It flows, but it´s a bit strangely built. An 8 minute long track is hard to keep interesting in itself, and here it takes 2.5 minutes to reveal a theme.  Maybe you should introduce it sooner, and put the first break before that(formulaic, but it works).  Think Hey Now(Sasha remix).
3: No, it sounds just fine.  Just needs a bit more direction

Good track. Hope this helps. Good Luck

Remember to leave feedback for others, now that you have got one.

Thanks a lot ion, appreciate you taking the time.  I agree with what you are saying, bit of a restructure.  Cheers

1. Big yes.
2. Yup. No issues for me with the structure, except the triplets (hope I got that right?) starting just after minute 4. Not quite working for me with this style of track.
3. Sounding great.

Maybe bring the kick a tad down, since it's already very bassy. Good luck with this project!
