Linney - That Night (Steven Gold Remix) ★ Melodic Dubstep ★
« on: January 14, 2016, 03:18:00 pm »
Hey everyone, thanks for the feedback on this track a while back. I struggled a bit with adding the sort of "depth" I was going for, especially in the verses. But overall I'm pretty happy with it & sent it to some YouTube promo channels. Enjoy :)

What an interesting soothing song!!

The snare sound is powerful and wide. The delay on the voice is fantastic and the song keeps interesting until the end.

Chill yet not boring and still melodic? YAY :D Love it. I wouldn't consider this melodic dubstep though. Nothing really dubby about it. It's more of a melodic future especially with the cutoff on the lead synth. I like it though. Don't know if you were looking for any feedback, but if you are I'd suggest taking a oneshot of some sort (maybe piano or some kind of oneshot pluck) and reversing it then playing it forward on certain parts of the "drop" just to add some extra rhythm and dynamic to the song.

Just a personal taste/suggestion.

I dig it though.

Cheers

Think the drop could use some more depth as you said with some detuned saws and moving basses.
Cheers

Haha true, I don't really pay attention to genres i guess. But thanks!

And honestly I tried like 50 different things in the verse, from plucks to melodies & nothing sounded good to me :O Grrr
