Here's some cinematic melodic dubstep.  This is my remix of Han Zimmer's main theme from the movie Interstellar.  I fell in love with the movie and couldn't help but make a remix of the beautiful score.  So enjoy, and hopefully you can provide some help/feedback.  I've gotten some from friends, and they've told me to boost the bass and the volume of the saws in the drop; and bring down the war drum volumes a bit (I've already made some of these adjustments, I really want to know what to improve on before even thinking about releasing this track.)  So thanks for taking a listen!

is the piano you have playing 8th note chords? that sounds weird. you should ditch that for a pluck or something.
in the drop, the drums don't really come through very well.
the kick actually sounds really bad, I think you could find one that suits your song better.
Another thing, the track itself is super overcompressed and it actually makes it, for me, hard to listen to.
The composition is nice but you really need to clean up this mixdown. It wouldn't hurt to work on sound design and sample selection either.

Thanks for the advice, the all the chords are from the sheet music I found.  I just don't want to step too far away from the original when remixing it.  And the kick does need to be replaced, I've been changing out over the past couple of days looking for one that sounded right for the track, but am still having trouble.  The mixdown is pretty bad, haha, I usually get the final mixdown complete when I have the entire track worked out without needing anymore adjustments to the composition.

The chords themselves aren't bad. It just sounds really cheesy when you use a piano like that.

Yeah, I get what you're saying, I'll mess around a bit more with that when I get a chance and add a very light delay to it to give it a bit more life.  But thanks a lot for the feedback, I really appreciate it.  I usually got feedback from Arkana and Abandoned on this particular track.

Like Ocular said, the drums have a hard time punching through. The build to the "drop" is a cool idea, and I think the break can be a bit more atmospheric. Maybe play around with dark pads and some other cool effects.

With the drums I think the issue is that it's a mixture of war drums and a kick drum.  There aren't any snares until the end of the second drop.  I'll try switching out the war drums in the drop for something like a snare because I think the kick, saws, and war drums are clashing against each other.  I'll try to rework the sidechaining to accommodate for the drums and allow them to have their room in the mix by EQing the saws and basses a bit more.  As for Ocular's input on the overcompression, I'll deal with that as well in the next draft.  What's been giving me an issue in working with this remix are the saws that I have in it.  I'll rework those and adjust the EQing and compression on those.  As for the break, I'll try to find something that'll bring more atmosphere to the track like some distorted strings/choir and a very light saw pad with a filter on it.  Thanks for the input, it's really giving me another perspective on what I currently have on the remix, really appreciate the ideas and feedback!
