Help with sound design please!!!
« on: January 12, 2016, 04:34:22 am »
Hey guys! I'm absolutely terrible at sound design, mostly just use presets,  and I would love to change that. If you guys could link me some Videos/forums that can help with Serum, Sylenth, Massive, and Harmor it would be much appreciated!

Feel free to look elsewhere on this forum to see all the threads that have been posted about Serum and Sylenth.

As far as Massive is concerned, go check out Barely Alive's tutorials and watch a lot of Virtual Riot's streams (both on youtube).

And SeamlessR is gonna have everything you need to know about Harmor.

It might help what genres you would like to make. for the most part just google "how to make ____ with ____" and you'll have a good place to start.

Always best to start with the basics. This video is part 1 in a 3 part series there old but awesome and a great resource if you new to creating your own sounds.

I started in massive with twisting knobs and just hear what they do. Try to experiment.

For serum i suggest you first see this series from steve duda & icon collective: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rf4Dj3FSCjc&list=PLCdl4Odo4R1i0q3SzY0o3I0Qwl85N7H9F

Also this video from Virtual riot covering most functions of Serum is interesting: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Sa3wa_doVs

And Google is your friend. Try 'massive (or any synth you want) tutorials').
