Melbourne House WIP
« on: January 10, 2016, 09:17:46 pm »
Hi Guys,

2nd WIP post of the day. I do quite making all kinds of music. This is a WIP of a melb. house track that I did 2 months ago. I am quite close to finishing it, but as always I need some opinions and feedback before finalizing this track.

So, any comments?
Much appreciated.

I was going to say the key stabs starting at :30 could be brought out more, but you brought them in at :45. Very satisfying.

The entire song kind of acts like a tease. But it never really kicks in for me. I was expecting shit to fly at 3:18 and really open up...but it just sort of sank and sat there.

IMO, the song has so many times where it suggests we're going to lift off, and then it doesn't. Too much edging with not enough pay off. Leaves me in sort of a state of blue balls.

Everything sounds fine except for your main lead, sorry to say it but I would drop that sound completely and try something new. To my ears it just sounds annoying and way out of tune.
I feel like this song would really benefit from that lead being changed.

at the end of the day it is your song, do what you will with it.

good luck  ;D

Was trying to go for that Deorro sound. But appreciate the honesty. Might revamp this whole project now! Thanks
