Trap WIP
« on: January 10, 2016, 06:27:51 pm »
Hi guys, thought I'd make a post here for the first time. This is a WIP for a track. It's almost done but I could appreciate some feedback.

Link the thread of some of your stuff so I can return the favour!

Thanks

really cool track! my only suggestion would be to make the growls in the drop (the synth that hits at 0:31) louder. Or maybe sidechain some of the other elements in the drop to those growls so they really cut through the mix and fill up the speakers some more. great job on this one!

Hey man this is awesome, I'd like to hear more percussion and foley within it, maybe a sick vocal chop vocoded or whatever you'd want to do. This has potential. Keep working through it!

I agree with sidechaining the drop leads to the growl, its not too present as is. Vocal chops could be cool for sure but it's pretty banging even as is. I dig the buildup sound too. The switch up at 2:05 was a nice touch. Nice work man

This sounds wicked really like it! I think the sub could be a bit more prominent. It lacks a bit in low end.

Yeah bro this bangs!! I agree with "Some Dude", that growl bass needs to cut through your chest  :o lol. Maybe Separate it on two octaves and add harsh distortion/bitcrush/saturation etc to the higher bass frequency. Just an idea...

Great track anyhow!

Peace

That guitar at the start got me, man! haha
The energy is outsanding! At 0:48 there could be more movement in the bass and maybe a tad different drum sequence. Also, at 1:05-ish those guitar accents are not something I found pleasant listening to. Overall, great effects, a well done arrangement, that energy.. It lacks better mixing, but that will come with time!
