Hey, I made this remix of Porter's classic yesterday while being unable to sleep.
Feedback would be truly appreciated!

Cool remix, man! i like that you're going a different style from the track, but still manages to uphold the essence of the original track. Cheeky with the Navi'i sample as well.

I think I would enjoy this more with a more driven kick pattern, it's hard to tell, is it arranged in 1/16th notes at times? Those moments muddy up the lowend and there's not much to keep my ears on the beat. That said - it's pretty minor, but I think the kick pattern could be made a little simpler and more effective in places.

Did you get the acapella from somewhere or did you use vocaloid? I like the style you're going for in this one :)

First off: Navi sample = WHY?!

Other than that, this is pretty cool. I think a louder/more prominent bassline would fill it out and make it sound a lot more powerful. I also think the vocals in the drop could be louder because they kind of sit behind everything

I agree with Epiccycle on the kick, and I also feel like it could be punchier to add more weight to the mix.

I think the ideas in this are very cool but the mix is not the best. I feel like the mids were scooped out of those supersaws. Im digging what your arrangements of the kicks however they're too 'thumpy' and gets very muddy imo. I think simpling it down to getting cleaner sounds is the way to go. The saws are overly detuned.
Hope this helps

I agree with all said above, and I wanted to add that the intro with just the vocal sounds empty, you should add some FX (distorsion, reverb, delay etc) to make it interesting.

It felt like the sidechain wasn't following the kick at all times, so it kind of muddied it up. I like the minimal idea of the song, but I think it get's pretty empty at times.

Love the idea though. :)
