I'm curious to where the best place in my room is for the getting the best frequency response. my rooms dimensions are 12X10X9 ft

That is a tricky question. Direct line, not against the wall. With bass traps and some sound treatment if possible. I found this quickly and it seems to explain things that have been explained to me fairly well. http://ehomerecordingstudio.com/acoustic-treatment-101/

Look up speaker calibration.

i think presonus has a free pdf that gives you some general tips, and specifics based off their products.
