« on: January 09, 2016, 05:44:04 am »
So , I´m making this remix of "Sakura Saku" by Yunomi ...

I really feel happy making this different style ... but i would like to know what u guys think ^^

1/09 2:43am : https://soundcloud.com/nyuro/sakura-saku/s-MR1A1
1/09 4:36am : https://soundcloud.com/nyuro/sakurasaku-wip2/s-s7nBw (added vocals on empty spots , added ending , and fixed layered snare a bit , its hard to work on 4am+ , too sleepy)

(will be updating the wip state!)

Definitely unique! Haven't really heard anything like this to be honest! I would say make that snare-clap noticeable. All of the other sounds drown it out! Awesome job!

Hey nyuro! I think I've seen you around the porter subreddit, so nice seeing you here too! Now about the remix, I really like it! It's a very interesting take on the original. But I noticed a couple of things that stood out to me. The vocal is one of them. I think the slowed down vocal works very well with the drop, but in the beginning portion of the song, it seems to be a bit much, at least in my opinion. I noticed you'd introduce the regular pitched vocal around certain points, like at 0:27. But after 0:43, you stopped and had the pitched down vocal play alone for the rest of the section, which gave the song a sort of lazy feel to it (but I don't know if that's what you were going for). Adding the regular vocal in every couple of measures would help make the vocal not be as droning, and pick the energy up slightly. You could also consider having the regular vocal play in the section before the drop just to add to the juxtaposition of the drop and make it that much more impactful. Also, during the drop, the vocal gets a bit lost in the mix, so you might want to try and bring its levels up a bit, just to give it a bit more presence. Also, clap/snare that you have starting at 1:00 could be slightly louder, just slightly though since the style of music that you're going for usually has more muted percussion. Aside from that, nice work on the remix, it seems pretty close to finished, as far as I can tell!

yee , we have seen on /r/porterrobinson hehe .

so , yeah , i was going to add pitched up vocals on more spots hehe , also i know the intro maybe do sound lazy with the pitched down vocals and them may have a low volume in the drop but i think it is really what i am going for haha .

thanks so much for the support <3

(clap/snare is alredy fixed)

Well, no problem, if thats the vibe you're going for, then it seems like you've achieved it! ;D hope to hear the finished version soon!

Sorry but the slowed down vocal sounds pretty bad imo other than that good job

Going to have to agree with what VOIID said. The only thing I'm not a huge fan of is the deeper voxs. Other than that I love the song dude! Super unique!

Edit: I do like the deeper vox in the drop though!

After the revision, I think the vocals sound alot better. Still keeps the lazy-ish feel to it that you're trying to go for, but doesn't sound like it's droning on and on anymore. A couple more things you might want to revise would be taking away the regular pitched vocals that you added in the drop from 2:34 to 3:18, just because they seemed to clash a bit too much with the lead. It sounded fine with just the low vocals. Also, I noticed the vocals aren't aligned right on top of one another, so theres a slight difference in timing, which gives a cool delay effect, but when the vocals are the main elements playing, like in the outro at 4:32 or at 1:30 for example, I think it would sound better if both vocals played at the same time. Oh and nice cover pic btw :P lmao
