FVTVRE BVSS | updated it again
« on: January 09, 2016, 04:46:52 am »
I started this this morning.

I thought I'd give the feedback thread a whirl, and see what some other producers on this forum thought of my future bass WIP!

So here's the WIP!

I don't really have much to say here. But I think it's worthy of continuing! Add more sounds to it as it progresses. Good stuff!

There's some mids missing I think, and the kick is too soft and doesnt have enough lows, try a harder and more punchy  kick

Sounds pretty cool so far! :D I think your hi-hats should be a tinier bit louder? Also the kick feels like it should be harder.

Really digging this track right now! Might I suggest possibly maybe adding a short 1-2 bar break and replace it with some percussions? I feel like it could give some bounce to it

Agreed, I think I need more lows on the kick. I'll also see what I can do about the mids.

Thanks! I was thinking the hats were a bit quiet as well, but I wasn't sure. I also agree that the kick should be harder.

Great idea! I was thinking I should add some sort of tom fills, but I think I might use some lighter percussion instead of toms.

Thanks for your feedback guys!

Heyo,

I didn't comment the first time but, i'll do it now.

So to be started, I liked the main synth but it kinda feel like it's overused in the song. It's there from the beginning to the end. I think you should try making 2-3 differents to add variation. (Like one with detune and super wet) The bass is a simple sub, maybe try adding texture to it, i don't really know.

the kick and the snare matched perfectly. Percussions were very cool.

Melodies were a bit too simple, try making them move a bit, to give those some sweet feels.

Although, it's good so far ;)

I haven't put up the most recent version yet, but I've changed the lead synth, and it sounds much better. I've also added a supersaw in the second drop which adds more intensity to that drop. Another thing I've done is remove the piano, as I feel it doesn't fit the song very well. Lastly, I've improved the mix a bit. I think I will take your advice and add some variation to the Flumey synth, probably with automation.

Thanks for the feedback!

I like how this is sounding.  The snare is really sweet, a very nice donk.  I think it would sound really sick to reinforce the drops with some beefy supersaw/futuresaw chords, and then throw in some movement changes/tremolo variations!
Keep it up.

Haven't put up the updated version, but it has a supersaw in the second drop! I agree, I need to add more variations, I'm working on it atm!

Thanks for the feedback!
