Progressive House track [128bpm]
« on: January 09, 2016, 12:44:36 am »
Hey guys, I finished this track but I know it could some more spark or polishing. Was looking for some harsh feedback on what needs to be changed. I'm working on adding more variations to the percussions (hi-hats) and also going to add in some other element, maybe vocals. I've made a few other changes so far like reducing velocity on the piano notes and I'm also in the process of changing out the lead synth sound.

Let me know what you think!  ;D

Maybe try a different clap, kind of opinion based but I personally don't like when they sound hollow/organic I think you could maybe cut out some problem frequencies, again this is highly opinion based.

And i would also put a snare punch right before the drop to signal that this is where the beat kicks in, kind of like how deadmau5 does in strobe. I actually like the hi hats, but i would apply some distortion/saturation to bring out there tone and maybe mess with the velocity a little bit.

Im interested to see what you change the lead to, it fits pretty nicely i thought. I really like your style and I love making this style of progressive house songs as well.  ;D

I did get bad feedback on the clap as well from others so that's something I'll definitely change out. I have a bad tendancy to leave drums out before the drop so I'll have to try something there as well.

I'll post an update here soon. :)
