Hi producers,

Recently I listened to this podcast "Wespin" which gives business and marketing advies to electronic music producers. In this episode, Resound talks about 6 reasons artist procrastinate (and how to overcome them)
Anyway here it is if you want to listen:
So I made this while I listened to it, I thought it might be helpful for some of you:

1. Decide to avoid Big Tasks
Solutions:
-Break down to series of small tasks
-don't think about finishing something, just think about starting it (biggest motivator: the action itself, do it.)
-WHY? Goals.
- (don't be afraid to) ask people to help you out (delegate tasks)

2. Fear of change, failure or rejection
Solutions:
-Take risks, face it

3. Facing complexity
Solutions:
- Simplify (20/80 rule)
- Education (video, lessons, reading, but don't get stuck, "In time learning", put in action)

4. Lack of motivation or focus
Solutions:
- Think about negative consequencies of not completing the task you're doing right now (people dissapointed, etc.)

5. Compulsive (internet) habits
Solutions:
- Don't multitask, focus on your work
- Silence phone, don't get distracted by social media

6. Physical fatigue
Solutions:
- Have a healthy life, eating properly, sleeping more.

Do you have more tips or maybe some experiences you want to share?

Hi producers

I think this is one of my most successful productions to date, but still I want to know your feedback and know if I missed something or something I could improve
(btw I'm happy to share some details if you want)

Thanks :)

I produce trance & progressive, but of course this can apply to any other genres
How important is that the kick is in key with the track? Should it be ALWAYS in key?
By key I mean the main key of the track, in trance you know the key in the first drop of the track which is usually the key of the sub bass

Curious to know your opinion about this!

Mixing/Mastering / Mono kick?

I've asked this before but I just wanted to know more opinions on this topic.
So, should the kick be completely mono or can it have some stereo specifically in high frequencies?
