this is v cool

intricate atmospheres... i'm kinda jealous actually!

feel change to x2 is kinda weird but to me and looking at it holistically within the context of a 5min song seems a bit out of place

glitch variation on 2nd drop repeat is ok

there's a point at 3.55 where it gets really loud for no reason and threw me off.

i thought it was pretty rad

sounds well developed

some cheeky notes in the melodies are very welcomed

synth game could be stronger, the lead with heavy reverb could be replaced

drum fills could use work, not necessarily the hat fills with phrases but in terms of the functionality of bridging between sections there could be a cool fill (like the one at 3.44 i guess, only one i skimmed over and thought was strange)

i don't really listen to this type of music

many problems with this mix and most stem from the vox. make urself sound really cool with lots of processing!
i dont care about that tho, what i really care is the musicality of ur work

lyrics (as sourced from ur soundcloud)
I need you to come back home,
It's been so long since you've been in my arms,
And since you've been gone, I've been all alone,
So come home, we'll stay forever.

You've been in my life from a young young age,
It feels like a dream when you call my name,
I look to my side but you've gone again,
So come home, we'll stay forever.

even reading this on paper it's like... who r u... why are you talking to me so sensually..  there r so many ways that u can fix this lyric and not sound really creepy (which is probably the byproduct of using a ghost method to write this song, which is cool, it just doesn't sound like too much thought was put into the wordplay)

it's really hard to critique this without sounding like im bashing u and i wrote a whole 10 page essay on why you shouldn't use 2nd person pronouns because it sounds really creepy but take my word for it because it sounds really creepy.

you're not the best vocalist either and i feel u on that, but like... write the melody to your advantages yeah?? on the second line of your verses it sounds like you turn to the tonic on the last note of your melody? choose literally anything else for that bro, that's just not cool and it messes up the entire feng shui of your verses. consider changing the key so that ur hitting notes that really showcase urself. and like, ultimately if that means you have to change that shit to Eb minor and that messes up your sub bass because whatever edm article told u to never write songs below E (lol) who cares because the vocals are always the most important part of a song if u feature them

hope that wasnt too much

best of luck with the tunes

pretty cool, but not something i'd come back to. i'm not a huge fan of house (?) but i am a big fan of chilled out music. to me there's a lot of high end content from the cymbals and vocals and i honestly just get rly tired out from how much high spectrum content there is and how high (vol) it's been pushed up in ur mix.

not a househead so i can't give 'constructive' solutions but my brain just gets weird signals when on the second drop i hear even more high Hz content with the addition of more cymbals... aaaAAAhhh it hurts the ears.

the chord prog is like.. Am --> C --> F ? something like that. let's look at the notes of each

Am = A C E
C = C E G
F = F A C

really stagnant!!! there's so many commons between the two... very little movement musically which is kinda bad because i have to listen to a 5min loop of just i --> III --> VI which is not very chill at all because as soon as i hear it i get bored lollzzzzzzzz

personally i am comparing ur track to an old fav of mine i saw played live about 5months ago
https://soundcloud.com/porsches/horses

very chill - very clever play and movement with the textures - chord prog of (Bm) i --> VII --> iv --> III (probably something wrong here like them all being 7th chords or whatever but i dont care) which although repeated all the way through has a constant tug of tension release through downwards step motion chordally, and im really happy to just listen to this forever because there are so many interesting things that just pop up which are intentional composition/production decisions. great tune

hopefully that wasn't too much and i can't wait to be destroyed by people reading this lmao

best of luck with the future tunes

*edit - i listened to this on laptop speakers while lying down on my bed - probably the most chill way to experience music

how do u guys feel about moving out of diatonic harmony? tritone use? tritone substitution? does it hold a place in electronic music? are casual music listeners ready to hear that sound?
