I've been trying out the song a week thing since new years and it helps to have a little bit of a schedule for example mine this month is:
sunday - write out elements for sound design
monday - make/sample - Kick and snare(muscle)
tuesday - make/sample - riders(hats, toms, ride, etc)
wednesday - make bass
thursday - make pad and lead
friday - make chord progression, then jam!!! this is the best part, playing sounds, making clips and scene, (One of my main reasons for working with ableton)
saturday - arrangement and fills and transitions
- if you plan out your song frequency wise in the sound design stage everything should work well together

- Im going to try switching the order of the days each month

and are you happy with the results?

yeah you gotta finish tracks start to end too, I'm just saying its better to learn the elements of a song, the science behind it all while making your tracks, or else you are doing the wrong thing and don't even know what you are doing, you gotta finish tracks thats important too

i'm not sure i you guys heard the new kanye song, but it's literally the same loop for the entire song

Inspiration/Creativity/Motivation / making 1 beat every day for a month

ok so originally i decided to finish a song every week, but i decided to change it up a little

the main reason i'm doing this is to learn how to sample things from songs since that's something i had never done
and to really just push my output

i'm sick of working on songs for months on end and then deciding you don't like it anymore

post your soundcloud and ill put it in here if you doing the same

Dear producers,

You should all have your email address on your soundcloud account for maximal networking. People might want to contact you, and emails are often used to do so :)

Cheers!
a friend of mine tells me he would never to that because he would get too much spam
