Samples/Plugins/Software/Gear / Audio encoding auditioner like Pro-Codec?

Pro-Codec by Sonnox seems like a really good plugin to use to make sure your mixes sound good when encoded to a lossy format, but it's just so damn expensive. Anyone know of any plugins that sorta do the same thing?

It's an intro song. Right off the bat I can hear that the quality is very shitty on soundcloud, it doesn't sound like that lossless, how can I fix that?
edit: I just experimented a bit with fixing some ISP using FabFilter Pro-L, it only sorta fixed it. It still sounds a bit bad.

I can't tell how this is an icarus remix either...

Yeah, as I work on the song more I'll add more elements from Icarus, especially with the melody.

I'm working on a remix for Icarus by Madeon to appear on a community made remix album (The Sky Lounge), and this is what I finished today so far. I already made the drop a couple weeks ago, but I needed to create an intro for it. So I did.
A friend is telling me that the intro is too long and boring. Is this true? How could I improve? I know that in typical "EDM," usually the time between the intro and drop is about a minute, so I think the length is fine.

For the last few months I've made a few "complextro" drops that sound ok, but not amazing. Before I made these drops, however, I made this song called "Cosmic Rainfall." It was the first chill song I'd ever made and I made it almost in it's entirety in 3 hours. This new one is supposed to be a collab, but the other person hasn't even attempted to get the files from me, so I think I'm just gonna finish this one without him.

I was thinking just that. I don't know too much about his Spitfire era, but I know about his old complextro, and damn it's good. Hopefully the new Porter/Dillon Francis collab will be something non "Worlds-ey"

the basses in the beginning are cool, but ain't got no highs, maybe try some distortion. also try n add a cool snare with some nice attack. the boom part is super muddy, change that.
Yeah, I really really hate Vengeance samples yet I use them a lot. My goal is to remake those sounds from scratch, and maybe do something different.

I'd say all it needs is a harder sidechain. And like Shew said, the piano needs lots of reverb. I have a Fruity Reverb 2 preset that would work perfectly for this if you want it.
