Dont listen to electronic music. People do drugs when they listen to it.

I got told that from a former best friend of mine. in 2002.

Never let people define who you are. You have the right to pick the direction you go and live.

I say this as a Jehovah's Witness. Not the normal kind that knocks on your door without reason. If this doesnt break down social barriers, nothing does.

It actually pulls me back to early Aphex Twins era. I didnt expect that, and enjoyed it. Nice track.

For what its worth, you could almost call it Tribal Electro.

Its almost like the section from 1:23-1:55  and the section when the bass is added(which btw could be louder and I wouldnt mind!) @ 2:12-2:44... Should just be flat out swapped. Im semi torn tho, because that drop at 1:21-1:23 stopped me in my tracks.

WIPs / Re: The Apology - A Bieber Sorry Remix - Yes or No?

Something feels oddly out of sync... maybe the snare and the vocal pattern (could the BPM and the changing speed of the vocals to match your structure that feels odd?)
I try not to point to any specific issue, I just point out oddities, and let you as the artist change it if you agree with the comment.

I like the feel tho. It goes somewhere I would not expect. Im not on board with the Bieber hating. I think some of his productions have potential. But you definitly have something started here.

I might be crazy but is there a change in the synth from 3:28 to 3:31? Just a subtle frequency shift?

And as for personal taste, the track drops off pretty abrubtly, but maybe you are going for that style.

Reminds me alot of how Matt Lange - High Noon ends. Everytime I listen to that song I cry that there isnt more after the end of that track.

Composition/Arrangement/Theory / Re: Electronic music and Math

I saw alot of info on how to learn music theory in another thread. Looks like thats where I will be looking next.

Something tells me that with my borderline obsession with numbers, this should come naturally.

Well if you knew that I got started on electronic music thanks to Aphex Twins - Girl Boy mix, the assumption is harder to end up at then most.

Composition/Arrangement/Theory / Electronic music and Math

Im a bit of a analytical person, so I tend to seek patterns in music.

Do you think math is a large factor in composition or not?

Just curious what people think, and im leaving the statement vague to invite abstract replies.
