Hi, i am using Sylenth and trying to make this synth sound from a beginning of the song. Can anyone give me a clue how to? Thanks

Hi, i am a real newb to making synth sounds, and i have heard often that FM synthesizers (like FM8) are the best to bring out the most for making plucky sounds like u SIA-Cheap Thrills or Kygo-Firestone kinda plucky sounds.
Like some people say, "U can make a good similar E.P. pluck sounds by using Sylenth, but if u really want to make it better, u need FM synthesis from like Massive or FM8."
I have no idea if those comments are reasonable or what anyway,  so i am hoping to hear from you guys about whether that is correct or at least how that statement probably came from based on the characteristics of FM synthesis whether u don't totally agree with those ideas. Thanks.

I know this would be a really easy and kinda simple question, but i am actually struggling with making the leading synth sound from Katy Perry- E.T. I am assuming it is either squarish or sawish sound, and i kinda used Sylenth to put Square on one side and the saw and tiny noise on the other side with a smaller volume and a filter, and i think it kinda sounds like it. But i want you guys' help anyway. Thanks.

Hi guys, recently, i try to copy the exact sound (not awkwardly similar, but exact) referencing a certain instrumental track. I get to look for samples a lot, trying to figure how to EQ blah blah to make the same sound. But i don't know if people usually do this to practice something. Do u guys think this thing could help? Or not really?

Hi how are u guys doing? So basically i want to ask if my overall mixing step and process sound appropriate.

So basically i work at my own room without any good acoustics, but what can i do, i just live with it lol..(crying)

So basically I use my main Mackie MR5mK3 monitor speaker to make the overall track under RMS -4db~6db,  do some general balancing and panning. After that, i do some eq and reverb, comparing with some original reference track.

So after i feel that it went pretty well with my main monitor speakers, i switched connection to my Yamaha NX50 speaker, and i get to see very noticeable changes like i get to hear that my snare has too much 'high' compared to the reference song and blah blah.
So i make change on my track based on the Yamah speaker.

After that, i play my track and reference track on other laptop with its own speaker system to listen to how they sound like. And of course, i see the difference, so go back to work on something back.

And after all these processes, even though i have made a few changes, i don't really see the big noticeable difference on the track on my main Makie monitor speakers.

I heard that many Mixing engineers try to listen to tracks at different places and different atmosphere, is what i am doing similar with their process? (In terms of what i could do under my circumstances now) Or is this cause my room acoustics basically suck?

I would be happy to hear advice from you guys. Thanks!

So basically the second track is the reference track loop (originally from EXO-Heaven) and the first crappy one is the one that i am working on. I just cut some parts from the verse and the chorus of those trakcs.
I am trying to take the general drum and piano tone from the reference track, but it seems like my drum and piano doesn't perfectly fit. So i am wondering if any appendix on my source, any EQ-ing, compression or reverb could bring me more vibe from the reference.
Will be glad to hear from u guys! Thanks!
