Thank you so much Mussar for your detailed feedback and all the tips! Especially the ones regarding the orchestration and focus of the song; I'm gonna work on improving that with the next song. :)

Hi guys

After my first track (Dog Days) was kind of more progressive than trance, I tried to do something more "trancey" this time - feedback appreciated! :) I'm still not happy with the Toms at 03:20, they just don't seem to fit to the rest... Anyone could lend some advice on that part?

.
Thanks in advance!
Marcoda

Hi guys

I'm still new to producing, still learning (a lot!) each day, still overwhelmed by everything :)

Below the link to my first "finished" track. I would love to get some feedbacks of the pros here (as I am pretty sure it is full of "stupid" mistakes that I am not aware of).

Thank you very much in advance :)

Thanks! Very informative video with some surprising insights (f.e. that he uses a subwoofer in his studio) from a very likeable guy! :)

If you are willing to learn, you'll learn - independent of your age. I'd say "kids learn faster than adults" is more accurate, but once you are a grown-up, it doesn't make a difference if you are 18 or 40 in my opinion...

Thanks Amrith for the explanation! (I'll keep these questions coming) ;)

As I started clicking around in a DAW only a few weeks ago, I have a really hard time understanding the setup of the bass in tracks like

Cosmic Gate – am2pm
https://youtu.be/FSserx_VvFM?t=51s

Ilan Bluestone – Big ben
https://youtu.be/LJ5o74hUQvY?t=1m

In these tracks the bass seems more to be an aftermath of the kick, as you (or: I) can not hear a specific bass-sound that is played.

Sorry for a question to which the answer is probably pretty simple  :-\
