With that Mat Zo track, it feels to me like a variation of a dubstep song. Beat is slightly more complex, but the synths are similar. When I say different, I mean REALLY different. Discovering a new colour different.

well it literally is a remix of a dubstep song so you're pretty much right. I just hear that and I can't put it into a genre but I also kind of gave up on strict genre definition myself so there is that too haha.

You could go with Shadient stuff which is in its own realm.

This is literally drumstep guys. 17x bpm dubstep.
