Composition/Arrangement/Theory / Recomendations to start a remix?
« on: June 13, 2016, 12:31:45 am »
Well, I´m most concentrated in original projects and doing remixes were just some ideas but nothing concreted  :o
But, one guy suggested me to make remix because it can make me more objective with ideas and know the structure of a song (he heard my first track and he said that it sounds like 5 different songs  ;D)

So, how do you start a remix? Any suggestion before start?
;)

Some tutorials just use chords, some drums and a new drop. I want some more complex, make a real remix
Doin´ it right (k?d remix) is an example of what I´m looking about (real different from the original)

(sorry for bad grammar, it is not my language :) )

Samples/Plugins/Software/Gear / Izotope?
« on: May 17, 2016, 11:22:32 pm »
There is any difference between mastering with IO and other plugins? I never used before and reading about it I think is just another ¨fancy software¨
It is really awesome? Really worth it?

I don´t know all about IO, just read some conclusions and opinions about it and maybe it has a better precision with EQ or something like that.

I would like to know your experiences with it

Inspiration/Creativity/Motivation / Why you start producing?
« on: May 10, 2016, 10:16:08 pm »
I start this new topic to remind myself what am doing? we all need to remember why we are here. Always keep in mind our purpose , our goals , our dreams, when we feel discouraged or when someone thinks about quitting, remember that motivation , that dream , all the effort you've done so far, everything you've learned and accomplished , remember that is not in vain , it will never be easy . They not all achieve faster, but be persistent until the end. That is what a real

I am 15, I started producing like 8 months ago, and my first song is like an 80% finished, I dedicated to it a long time, sometimes I feel that it hasn't the enough quality or is a piece of @#&% . Sometimes I feel bad about not having a lot of tracks finished like other teenagers producers like JAEGER or Curbi. But I always remember why I start producing not be one of the bunch, make a dream come true die knowing that I succeeded, And say my last words: I made it

Sorry for bad grammar, not my language :^)

Well, there is a really huge difference between influence and copying, every PRODUCER NEEDS TO INNOVATE. The influence make to you, sometimes, try to do one specific genre, but with your own style.
Innovate and have an own style means a lot of work :'( , yeah, but there is no an easy way to get to your dreams  ;D

I admit it, I had strong influences in my music, from various artist. But I use all influences to try to make my own style, a combination that make something new  ;) . Don´t worry If you get frustrated, the first and most important thing from an artist needs to be self-acceptance, try to be better than yesterday, be sure of yourself and never feel unmotivated, never stop  :)

I had these ideas sometime after start producing, I have pondered a long time and I want to share with you all but I want to read more opinions.

What do you think about it?

(Sorry for bad grammar, not my language ;D)

Well. I have been working on a new tune, its sound really cool, but I´m in the melody part before the drop (Breakdown I think) but I need more back sounds to the melody :o, also I have been listening another tracks and having ideas like bass lines, chords, long sweeps...so...

Can anyone give me some tips about putting chords into a melody?
How I can start it?

Samples/Plugins/Software/Gear / Re: White Noise/Risers
« on: February 13, 2016, 01:51:30 am »
Well, I have the same doubt about how to do a white noise/risers, and after a few days I achieve the sound what i was looking around (I work with FL Studio)
How i do a white noise:
1. In a project I open the Sylenth 1
2. I just select  ¨noise¨ in wave  (i just use the part A) (you can put it a little bit of cutoff)
3 . The in the mixer I open the Fruity Parametric EQ2 and put a High pass in the number one and adjust a little bit the other ones. (This makes the white noise more soft and less annoying)(Numbers are frequencies, I´m really not sure)
4. Do an automation clip in the pitch and adjust like you want

This white noise is soft and with the pitch automation makes it ´riser´
You can change the pitch replacing it for a cutoff automation clip (not the same effect on the sound)

Sorry for my bad english, is not my language  ;D

Samples/Plugins/Software/Gear / Windows 10 and FL Studio?
« on: February 13, 2016, 01:28:47 am »
Hello guys, for several months I've been thinking to update to Windows 10 ??? but I´m not really sure to do it, and I want to know if the new OS has troubles with the FL (problems like incompatibility with the DAW or some plugins) I really don´t want to lose my projects   :-\
So, I want to know if is secure to update without lose anything, also, the CPU performance can change negatively with the new OS?
What should I do?
Thanks for the replies

Hi, I don´t speak english so sorry if you can´t understand my question ;D
I´m relatively new in the world of music production, and still learning about terms for effects, kinds of sounds and that kind of stuffs, but there is one sound or group of sounds that i don´t know how to call them, I mean that part between the melody and the drop.
I´ve heard them called ¨Breakdown¨ or ¨Drum fills¨ sometimes this transitions are made with drums or a sound effect I know that but...

How i can find them in youtube? They had another name? How can i made that transition effect?

Thanks for answering :)
