I guess it's subjetive  ;D ;D ;D

Yup!

I think its this way: as long as it's not 'official' it still being a 'bootleg'.

I uploaded to the contest with the 'remix' tag on it, but after uploading it to Soundcloud I changed it for 'bootleg'.  ::)

Hello guys!  :)

This is my unofficial remix of Hardwell's song: Mad World. It has some original parts because it was for a remix contest.
Unfortunately, I didn't win!  ::)

So here's the remix as free download. Would be AWESOME if you could check it out!  ;D

Finished Tracks / Re: Brahiim - Chimera Electro/Progressive

Nice track man!

This things are the ones I would change (is just subjetive):

- Intro is too full of elements. I would take out some stuff to make it more empty.
- The break is nice!
- In the drop the bass could be a little more fat...And maybe adding a layer for the kick to give the kick more fatness.

As I said, this is just a personal opinion.

Track is good in general, I like it! Keep them coming!  ;) :)

Thanks for you comment @Submelodic!

I'll check what you suggested me. Haven't really thought about doing that with small breaks yet!  ;) Thanks for the great idea once again. :)

Hi guys! My name is Emilio and this is my first post here.

I'm a producer from Argentina :) and I've been making electro house / progressive since I started producing.

In this first post I want to show you a track I'm working on. I would love to hear your thoughts about it. Any criticism is well accepted.

Here's the link to the track:

Thank you!  :)

WIPs / Re: Piano melody idea

Nice melody. My only feedback would be leaving space between chords and melody. Melody would stand out more if its placed one octave up.

Plucks needs more sidechain and EQing. I would try putting a high pass on the plucks and taking out the low notes. Then replace that with a sub bass (using the notes you took).

This last tip is subjetive, but I think a tapestop every eight beats would make it sound more dynamic and it can add some variations too.

Good luck!  ;)

Mixing/Mastering / Re: I can't figure it out and it is frustrating.
« on: January 06, 2016, 04:16:00 am »
My best advice would be: give it time! Don't push yourself to do stuff like pros do. Why? Because it's going to block your workflow. At least for the first years. Try to do stuff, copy, analize your favorite tracks. And find out what you're missing.  Learn about EQ, use automation clips, think outside of the box. You'll be making tracks you love one day and the day after you'll hate. Lol  ;D It's all part of the process.  ::)

Music production is a never-ending learning process. It can take years before you get a decent mixdown...

Eventually you'll be making good mixdowns!

Good luck!  ;) ;) ;)

I think this one has potential! But I feel like it's a lot of different ideas on a whole track that don't match together that well. Also I can't feel a general tone.

Build up is nice! I like it. Even though snares are a little bit loud...But good enough.  :)

WIPs / Re: In terms of EDM/Big Room is this good?
« on: January 06, 2016, 02:42:49 am »
I think it needs more changes. The idea it's good but lacks variation.

For example...the melody on the break could be something different from the melody on the drop. Also, I would try changing some notes and layering diferent sounds. Then hear the result.

In terms of how it sounds: it's ok. The lead from the drop is a little bit loud. Maybe try putting down the volume a little bit and feel the diference.

I like how the kick and the sub bass sounds! Is it a sample or you made it yourself?  8)

Good luck!  ;) ;) ;)
