;D Hey there fellow lurker and welcome!
I would recommend going further in processing your kicks and claps, for me they lacked depth and detracted from the overall feel of the track. Instances where the track sounded spacious the clap would come in with such a short decay that it felt conflicting and contradictory to the situation. Having that extra bit of detail can make the track sound more lively and cohesive; good first track though, don't ever be afraid to experiment!

Thanks for the feedback! You're right, my drums really do need more work as a whole.

I've been a long time lurker on this forum and I've finally gotten to finish a track that I think sounds decent. I'd be very glad if some of you could give me some feedback on how it sounds, mix and composition wise. Thanks!

You Might Like... / Nigel Good - Space Cadet

Nigel Good's LP Space Cadet features an excellent variety of genres with incredible production, and it's especially great if you want to listen to it as a background while doing other stuff. What really makes it stand out for me is the way the album flows as if it's one big track - his transitions are brilliantly seamless. Definitely check it out if you're into more experimental sounds.

It's also available on Spotify, iTunes, etc.

Hope you like it!

Finished Tracks / Re: [Chillout] Shikimo - Leisure Break

Great job on the track, loving the feel it gives off. One little criticism, which could be just from my headphones:  it sounds like you've got a little bit too much going on at the high frequencies and it starts getting a little painful to listen to after a while.
Other than that good stuff, listened to some of your other tracks too, I really like the ambient works 2015 ones.

I travel a lot, so I like spending my time listening to a lot of podcasts. Recently, I've really gotten into music-related podcasts as a way to gain more theoretical knowledge and inspiration.

Here are some of my favorites, hope you find them as useful as I did:

- The EDMProd Podcast - EDM focused podcast by the writer of EDMProd.com, features weekly interviews and discussion on production techniques, music business and lots more.
http://edmprod.com/podcast/

- SwitchedOnPop - great analysis of pop music, really focuses on the way the themes of the song are expressed through the music and lyrics. http://www.switchedonpop.com/

- Pitch - lots of interesting techniques, history and all sorts of other things related to music as a whole. A great source of inspiration, especially if you're curious about these sorts of things.

If you have any other suggestions, please post them below, I'd love to check them out as well!

Love EDMProd, there's a ton of useful stuff there. Since it can get a bit overwhelming with his 38+ pages of blog posts, here are some of my personal favorite articles from him:

- The Ultimate Guide to Drum Programming: Features lots of great tips on stepping up your drum production in a variety of genres.
http://edmprod.com/drums-guide/
- What I Learned from Analyzing the Top 100 Tracks on Beatport: Interesting and in-depth analysis of current trends, also incredibly educational

- How to Enhance Your Creative Process Using the Production Pyramid: Great for sorting out your production habits. Helped me divide the workflow into individual parts, so it doesn't get too overwhelming.

Hope these are useful to you!
